What does the process involve?
If you say ‘yes, let’s go ahead’ at your consultation, bloods are taken and sent to the laboratory for testing.
A follow up appointment will then be arranged to discuss results and the hormones being prescribed.
You’ll then have another appointment at the 6-8 week stage where further bloods are taken to check that hormone levels have balanced, followed by another appointment to review these results.
Prescriptions are repeated quarterly should there be no further changes or new symptoms.
Your next appointment will be an annual review to include consultation, blood testing and continued quarterly repeat prescriptions. This annual review is compulsory to continue the treatment programme.
